Why Permanent Eyeliner

Before scheduling your permanent eyeliner session with Dream beauty By Nida, it's vital to address some key preliminary checks and long-term considerations. This preparation ensures optimal results and minimizes potential complications.

Before proceeding, confirm there are no contraindications. Certain medical conditions, medications, or skin issues may deem permanent eyeliner unsuitable or riskier.

• Pregnancy and Nursing: You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding - no exceptions. Must be 3 months post birth/post breastfeeding.
• Medical Conditions & Medications: If you have any specific medical conditions or are on medication, consult with a medical professional.
• YOU HAVE TO BE 18yrs + to proceed with any PMU

• Autoimmune Diseases: Conditions like lupus can alter how the skin heals and retains pigment.
• Blood Disorders: Diseases affecting blood clotting can result in excessive bleeding during the procedure.
• Diabetes: Uncontrolled diabetes might impair wound healing due to weakened immune function, and risk of infection is higher. A physician's clearance will be needed.
• Active Cancer and Chemotherapy: Those with active cancer or undergoing chemotherapy must consult their physician before considering permanent eyeliner. A physician's clearance will be required.
• Epilepsy: For those prone to seizures, permanent eyeliner is a contraindication without prior medical clearance.
• Heart Conditions: If You have any heart Conditions/Pace Maker/Defibrillator, a physician's clearance will be required
• Eye Surgery's: If you have had Lasik or Cataract Surgery or any other surgery around the eye, a physicians clearance is required

• Accutane Users: Must wait at least 12 months after ending your Accutane treatment before considering permanent eyeliner. Accutane can affect skin healing and pigment retention.

As your appointment nears, follow these measures to prepare:

Botox and Fillers:  If you use botox, it should be performed either 2 weeks prior to your scheduled procedure or 2 weeks. If you get fillers around the eye areas, it should be performed 6 wks before or after the procedure.

Exfoliants and Skin Treatments: Avoid chemical exfoliants like AHAs, BHAs, and retinoids around your eyes for two weeks before your session. Also, skip any intense facial treatments or peels for at least two weeks.

Tanning: Avoid sunbeds and prolonged sun exposure a week before your session. Tanned skin can alter pigment absorption.

Eyelash Extensions, Last tinting, and lash serums: If you have eyelash extensions, please ensure they are removed at least three days before your appointment. Avoid lash tinting 2 weeks before.f you are using Latisse or any other eyelash serums you will need to discontinue use 4 weeks prior to the procedure.

Alcohol, Cannabis, and CBD, and smoking: Refrain from these 24-48 hours before your session, as they might increase bleeding.

Blood-Thinning Medications and Supplements: If on blood thinners, consult with your doctor about pausing them 3 days before your session. Consider Tylenol for pain relief instead. Some supplements, like high-dose fish oil and vitamin E, might also have blood-thinning effects. Always consult with your doctor before making changes.

Contact Lenses: If you wear contact lenses, plan to remove them for your appointment and refrain from wearing them for 1 to 2 days afterward. 

• Do not work out 24 hours before procedure.
• NO alcohol, smoking, or caffeine 24 hours before procedure 
• Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 24 hours before procedure.
• Avoid power shakes and power greens, Fish Oil, and "Hair, Skin, Nail" supplements 24 hours prior to procedure.

Day of Appointment:

• Do not wear any makeup on your eyes of moisturizers. Bring an inspiration pic of eyeliner if you'd liked
• You can bring sunglasses to wear home. Eyes may be sensitive to light.
• If you wear eyeglasses, please bring those to your appointment
• If you wear contact lenses, you must remove them before the procedure.
